Friendliness of the staff and feeling at home.
The hotel was fine the only problem was the proximity of a dog kennels which meant some nuisance noise if the room windows were open.

I specifically chose to stay at Ristorante Borgo Antico because of its ideal location between Siena and Montalcino. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the free WiFi throughout the property. It was convenient to stay connected and share my experiences online while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The free breakfast buffet, terrace, and garden were also wonderful features that added to my overall enjoyment.
It was also frustrating that there was no lift access to our room, requiring us to carry our bags up the flights of stairs. However, considering the antique nature of the hotel, this may be expected and adds to its charm.

The Borgo is a great spot to stay if you want to see both Siena and do some wine tasting in Montalcino (brunello). Rooms were a good size, staff was very helpful.
Towels were more like sheets, but had the same thing at some other Italian hotels so may be standard there.

The staff at the hotel were super helpful and accommodating. Christine, the lady on reception, went out of her way to look after us and made our stay enjoyable. The chef exceeded our expectations with a fantastic meal. The hotel is located in a lovely old building and the rooms, though small, were clean. The free breakfast was very good, although on the sweet side. The hotel is well located south of Sienna with great views of the beautiful Tuscan hills.
Felt at ease, no reason to complain.

The entire staff at Hotel Borgo Antico was so friendly and helpful! The hotel itself is charming and comfortable. The hotel restaurant had some wonderful selections. The breakfast was good and fresh instead of some other hotels that serve stale pastries. The room was spacious and clean. The view from our window was incredible! The location was perfect for us as we rented a car and were exploring different hill towns in the area. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again if we're ever in the area.

I found the hotel building beautiful and perfectly set in its surrounding, with a really old church just right behind it. The room was quiet, nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was excellent, really kind and helpful in everything I asked for. Working in a hotel myself, my expectations for the service and attitude of the staff is pretty high, and I can honestly say, I felt that they made the extra step to help my trip and make me feel welcomed. If you are not traveling by car and want to visit Siena, there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, that takes you to Siena Central station.
